On fractional Euler-Lagrange and Hamilton equations and the fractional generalization of total time derivative

چکیده
Fractional mechanics describes both conservative and non-conservative systems. The fractional variational principles gained importance in studying the fractional mechanics and several versions are proposed. In classical mechanics the equivalent Lagrangians play an important role because they admit the same Euler-Lagrange equations. By adding a total time derivative of a suitable function to a given classical Lagrangian or by multiplying with a constant the Lagrangian we obtain the same equations of motion. In this study, the fractional discrete Lagrangians which differs by a fractional derivative are analyzed within Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives. As a consequence of applying this procedure the classical results are reobtained as a special case. The fractional generalization of Faà di Bruno formula is used in order to obtain the concrete expression of the fractional Lagrangians which differs from a given fractional Lagrangian by adding a fractional derivative. The fractional Euler-Lagrange and Hamilton equations corresponding to the obtained fractional Lagrangians are investigated and two examples are analyzed in details.

Fractional variations for dynamical systems: Hamilton and Lagrange approaches
Fractional generalization of an exterior derivative for calculus of variations is defined. The Hamilton and Lagrange approaches are considered. In this paper we develop a fractional Hamiltonian formulation for dynamic systems defined in terms of fractional Caputo derivatives. Expressions for fractional canonical momenta and fractional canoni-cal Hamiltonian are given, and a set of fractional Hamiltonian equations are obtained. Using an example, it is shown that the canonical fractional Hamiltonian and the fractional Euler-Lagrange form...

The fractional calculus deals with the generalization of integration and differentiation of integer order to those ones of any order. The q-fractional differential equation usually describe the physical process imposed on the time scale set Tq. In this paper, we first propose a difference formula for discretizing the fractional q-derivative of Caputo type with order and scale index . We es...

This paper presents the formulation of time-fractional Klein-Gordon equation using the Euler-Lagrange variational technique in the Riesz derivative sense and derives an approximate solitary wave solution. Our results witness that He’s variational iteration method was very efficient and powerful technique in finding the solution of the proposed equation. The basic idea described in this paper is...

In this paper, a time-fractional diffusion equation of distributed order including the Caputo-Prabhakar fractional derivative is studied. We use a numerical method based on the linear B-spline interpolation and finite difference method to study the solutions of these types of fractional equations. Finally, some numerical examples are presented for the performance and accuracy of the proposed nu...
